Well...now table lamps! I have the incandescent one next to my bed on my night table... The MV one is on my desk in my bedroom....two matching lights but with different light sources!!! If you look carefully in the bottom...that is where the ballast is...look at it carefully on the side you will notice the iron of the ballast sticks out (and sticks out on both sides) because it is wider than the casing plus it makes it perfect place for the heat to escape! Looks good as table lamps! What make and wattage are the bulbs?

GE all glass 9 watt CFL

100 watt MV...not sure the brand but nothing special...its clear MV using medium base...

Those fixtures are rated for 150 and 200 watt incandescent or 100 watt MV

The 100 watt MV one has been rebuilt with different ballast holder setup...it's even better now!
