Community College of Rhode Island it looks like, if you read the wording on the building and the sign on the flag thing.

Here, have a link.

I love the building, the history behind it is so cool ! # thankyoumarvin. It is right out of Scandinavia. I was just 4 or 5 years old when I first saw it I was shocked walking up the ramp and to see the massive air handler at the main entrance and then to see the one above the food court, and when we took a walk outside I saw the cooling towers at that point I got into lovin Central AC systems. I was there last week and it is such a nice building, It was the first to have Central AC of that size in RI. The original fire alarm system was a Simplex and the building had just 66 4051 horns, the building was supper loud, was removed in 2014 or so. I worked to expose how bad the new system is, I was even told to not comment on how bad it is " we will work to improve safety". I will not get in to the whole history here, It is one very interesting building I will always love it.

I love this building too. They call this style of architecture Brutalist I think. All concrete and made to last! The basement floor (0, or G) has a fallout shelter behind the bursars office and enrollment services.

Yeah the Brutalist style was used in a lot of North American institutional buildings built in the 60s and 70s. Most university campuses have at least one building in this style.

And all buildings in Detroit 1899 to 1960. I have friends who own buildings in Detroit it I love them. The building is the Knight campus, I ways call it Knight, it does not fit in RI at all and the name stands out back in the day it was open concept learning. no glass walls, all open you came off the main hall opend up the double doors and each section was open concept. I love the Central AC, It to this day is far more efficient [7x] than splits. Buildings like Knight have to have fresh air intake and that makes Central AC the best choice. at my building it is 48,000 sqft and holds 100 people as a max so that means we need 20 tons of open ploom [5% new fresh air] by code, we have 50 tons. Buildings like Knight are massive, each air handler I think is 200 ton then we have the Central cooling towers if you walk all the way up the ramps above the food court you will see massive white pipes "vanish" they go from the air handler to the cooling towers. So 400 tons sounds massive but when we do a ratio it is actually small, Marvin was huge into Central AC in the 60s he cam up with "The building holds its own" Knight has massive mass and as you all know this holds heat and the cold, you can undersized based on the fact the temp in the building only moves + or - 10 degs
