GullWhiz   [Jan 24, 2010 at 08:27 PM]

thats crazy we actually had a tornado warning i did not sleep at all but all fixtures were un harmed also jayce how is the notification deal going ?
GullWhiz   [Jan 24, 2010 at 08:33 PM]
Ask Ian for the notifications, since I don't have that part of the skill to do, since it requires special coding to customize this page....
lite_lover   [Jan 24, 2010 at 08:37 PM]

prawnman88   [Jan 24, 2010 at 08:40 PM]

I'm a CA guy and I missed all of the storms because of my current stay here in Florida. Even after more than a week I'm already homesick LOL.
prawnman88   [Jan 24, 2010 at 10:43 PM]
well ca got slamed then it weaked just a tad and hit us
Form109   [Jan 24, 2010 at 11:27 PM]
wow...guess i wasnt the only one that got storms....we had a Tornado Warning issued for our county when that cold front went through our area.
gailgrove   [Mar 07, 2010 at 11:00 PM]
That would suck if a tornado sucked up your collection, Lucky for me mine are in my basement.
Form109   [Mar 07, 2010 at 11:44 PM]
Seems Unlikely a tornado would be in Rych's area or yours Gailgrove...still get an F5 come through your area and that collection will be sucked straight from the basement... Laughing

Hey Devonte there was an F2 Tornado 10 miles from my house two summers ago, and the part of the storm that dropped the tornado went right over my house Shocked

We get hurricanes and blizzards here. Razz Sometimes we get some little hurricanes but blizzards are bad when ice freezes onto the power lines and brings them down. I don't think we'll be worrying about that this winter though lol. It was 56*F here for a few days this past week. Even some plant buds sprouting. Shocked I have a feeling it's going to be a bad summer here though. Whenever RI gets an easy winter it's cool, rainy, and stormy the following summer. Confused
gailgrove   [Feb 26, 2012 at 06:14 PM]
I like stormy summers! Here we have very boring weather in general because the Great Lakes regulate the climate. Rolling Eyes
streetlight98   [Feb 26, 2012 at 06:46 PM]
I like stormy weather too, just not cold stormy weather. Razz I remember a few years ago it was about 60-70*F for most of the summer and rainy. Not so much stormy though. I personally liek it when the power goes out a school. The only things hooked up to the generator are the main office, random hallway lights, and some classroom with no windows have the lights hooked up to the generator. There are a few emergency heads too around the building, but I don't know if they work or not.

It's amazing how many 7th and 8th graders are afraid of a little power outage lol. I just sit there smiling, knowing that we won't get as much work due to lack of lighting to see and the ELMO overhead projectors don't work. Laughing
gailgrove   [Feb 26, 2012 at 08:22 PM]
Here we very rarely have blackouts, the last one was in grade 8, now I am in grade 10... We did have a power outage earlier this year but it was due to someone stealing all of the copper wire out of the transformer vault! Not an actual blackout. My school has generators (one in each building) but as far as I know they don't work.
streetlight98   [Feb 26, 2012 at 09:20 PM]
Ahh. i am in the 8th grade. School started a week late this year becuase Irene had the power out in Rhode Island for almost a week. Shocked NGrid was ver unprepared for the storm and were very slow at restoring power.
