Actually the stuff from the blasters are pretty good...I compared some of modern blaster ones with the older 80s blaster ones.....not much changed....

Those Little Short PC's that look like shorting caps..like the "Longjoin" on Regent Blasters?..they don't seem HQ to me,i see so many new ones dayburning.

I have the short looking ones from the early 80s! I haven't seen too many dayburning though...

Ever Heard of Woods?....i Haven't Honestly...the last time i bought a Photocell from this Hardware store it was one of those Opaque milky White Intermatic's,they also sell the Hardwire-In kind of photo cells...i was considering getting a Heavy Duty Light Timer but wasn't sure how to use it...so i just got a photocell.

Yep,I've seen Woods products, like block heater timers, extension cords, power bars etc.,but not twist-lock PC's.I even have some Woods items like an extension cord and I also have a plug-in photocell timer somewhere.
Form109   [Jul 08, 2011 at 04:30 AM]
ah so they must make a variety of electronics?
lite_lover   [Jul 08, 2011 at 07:04 AM]
Yes some electronics like the timers,PC's,surge protectors, some lighting products as well, but mostly various types of wire.

I have a Woods power strip/surge protector. I use it whenever I test a new light incase there is a fault in the wiring. It's from the 90's and it's still working great.

Wouldn't a GFCI provide more protection?
streetlight98   [Jul 08, 2011 at 04:47 PM]
I'm not going to install one in the house just to plug in a light, though yes it would be better.

Get one of those GFCI power bars or a plug in GFCI, I have a couple I use for testing stuff.
GullWhiz   [Jul 08, 2011 at 08:35 PM]
an GFCI actually SAVED my life about 8 months ago....if I didn't install it in my test power box....I wouldn't have been here! I had gotten shocked badly due to a very bad grounding....

So for those who experiment with electricity and lights.....GFCI is VERY important....you don't have to install one, you can get a plug in type...

A power strip WILL not save you from being ELECTROCUTED or DEATH
I am GLAD I decided to get an GFCI!

Plug in GFCI? Anyone have a pic or place I can purchase one?
joe_347V   [Jul 08, 2011 at 11:07 PM]
Here's a pic of mine, I got it from Canadian Tire but I'm pretty sure the home centres sell them too.
Form109   [Jul 11, 2011 at 12:23 AM]
can i get something like that from Lowes,Ace or Home Depot?
