GE M-250R
Here is the GE M-250R that I got from Jace,so far I have added a new socket and a used PC receptacle,as those components were not included and borrowed the refractor from another fixture for the pic. Also the fixture received a new coat of paint,it may be a some what brighter shine paint than the GE silver would have been, but I had trouble finding a durable silver/aluminum coloured paint because some claimed the pigment would rub off with contact and handling which may result in some ugly smudge marks .

Made in: Hendersonville, NC

Manufactured: April 1970

Nice looking....but you know the Silver ones actually had some slight different designs.....one of them would be that the hinge actually was screwed onto the door instead of being part of the cast! The other thing would be the hidge tab lock was different....there were some silver ones that had the same button latch with the tab...but the older ones didn't have the tab.... Also may not know, but some GE were actually unpainted giving a even darker color while the painted one was a bit brighter than the unpainted!

Gmercury....this one was originally grey....it was from my collection, and gave it to this dude....

Burtonsville, MD has all of the Silver ones with remote PCs have the tab on the latch...except for one that didn't have a tab on the latch!

Yes I'm enjoying it thanks! It now has a GE 250W mercury vapor ballast in it.

To comment on Jace's first comment, the first M-250Rs with the tab piece on the latch looked like like this with the cast hinge on the door and the simplified hingekeepter. That was only in 1965. Prior to that they has no tab on the latch and the hingekeeper with the silver round button. The 1965 silver GEs looked just like the later gray ones just with silver paint. So technically you changed your light to a 1965 GE like mine. Razz Very Happy
