GE Grooveback Glass Reflector
Here's a shot of the replacement glass reflector in the red section on my grooveback signal. It replaced a stamped aluminium reflector. Both are GE reflectors though. The bulb is just a plain old 60w Sylvania clear fan bulb.

NICE! Very Happy

Thanks, this is the correct type of reflector for my signal too. The older GEs used a what's known to collectors as a cereal or soup bowl reflector, named after its shape. Those are very rare now.

What kind of cereal bowl do you use in the morning. Razz Laughing I suppose if you plugged the hole for the socket you could use it as a creal bowl. Laughing I wouldn't dare try it on something this vintage and rare though. Shocked Mad A medium cobrahead glass makes a nice fruit punch bowl for a party, but the fruit punch might stain the glass red. Shocked Laughing plus the bowl might rock a bit. Laughing EDIT: wow i used a lot of laugh smilys Laughing

Laughing Some other collectors call them cereal bowl reflectors. Laughing I've actually seen a punch bowl that's bigger than my B2255s refractor. Shocked

Forget the medium sized glass in that case. Where's my M-1000's glass? Oh wait what? I don't own an M-1000. Laughing If i were to get a 1000W MV light fixture i'd want it to be either an M-1000 or a 70s-80s style GE PF-1000. Anything else is just too huge lol. My favorite flood light of all time is the 70s-80s version of the PF-400, particularly in 400W MV.

Mike, come to Ontario and bring yourself a B2213 home. Laughing Although I think the refractor is only around the same size as a B2255. Razz

Anyway I forgot to mention it but the my cereal bowl reflector is missing the socket and the wire that mounts it to the signal door. Even so I've seen the cereal bowls go for quite a bit on eBay before.
