12" Dialight Integrated Traffic Signal Head
This is soon to be the next addition to my collection. I've been following this product since its initial press-release last year. It is a full traffic signal head made by Dialight that uses an LED system integrated into the housing. This differs than Dialight's traditional LED modules that fit into other manufacturers housings, this one is being advertised as a full unit to install. It is a brand new type of traffic signal and its not quite on the market yet for municipalities to buy.

I've been on the phone with Dialight and the local distributor getting updates about this signal over the course of 6 months and made contacts with alot of people at Dialight.

Recently I placed an order for one of the first units manufactured from Dialight which will be manufactured to my specs and shipped in from Dialight's manufacturing facility in Mexico. I ordered a yellow body, with yellow tunnel visors and colored lenses (opposed to clear/white). Dialight and the distributor told me it takes about 6 to 8 weeks from order to shipment.

Dialight is still tweaking the design, which has a warranty of 15 years for the housing and electronics, but is manufacturing limited "sales samples" one of which I'm buying. They tell me they want to make it have a 20 year life warranty.

I'm the fifth order for the state of Michigan and the only individual buyer, the others are municipalities wanting to test the new signal out.

It is only avalable in 12", polycarbonate, with ball or arrow indications. The prices is fluctuating but is hovering around $500 for a 3 color head.

Its cool to own something that is so new its not even officially in production yet.

Wow cool design and sweet that you're one of the first to get to own one! And $500 is pretty reasonable considering it's brand new and everything is included (besides the controller lol). Plus it's a brand new product too. Ususally a brand new product starts off pricey and the price falls over time.

Very cool that you're the first individual to order it and the first few buyers overall.

Im excited to snag one of these. They seem like a cool signal and i have been wanting to add a signal to my display that was bought direct from the factory built to my order.

More to come hopefully by the end of august!
