This looks archaic. The pole, pipe arms and signals are very old. Retrofitted counters into an old box? Is this Brampton and if so where?

Yeah these timer retrofits have been there for about a year now. Williams and Dixie Smile

I noticed that in Toronto there are some 1960's era Crouse Hinds and CGE ped signals retrofitted with timers too. It's interesting since the timers are probably the second retrofit they had. The first was a retrofit from text WALK/DONT WALK lenses to the Hand/Man lenses and the second was the retrofit from incandescent Hand/Man to LED Hand/Man with timer.

Yeah I was never around for the walk/don't walk but almost half my life i grew up with the incandescent hand and walk. I noticed Toronto doesn't replace an entire intersections signals unlike what happens here where all ped signals get upgraded. I find it odd that the oldest CGE's in the city are the only CGE's retrofitted with LED Timers Question Exclamation

UPDATE: these exact 2 CGE signals were replaced yesterday with Fortrans. For weeks these 2 signals were bent and aiming towards the ground. The other 6 CGE pedestrian signals are still in good shape and are still in service. Sad Crying or Very sad

Oh, how did they get damaged?

Im not too sure, a few weeks ago I went by and they were bent,it may have been landscapers, or high winds? Neutral

It sucks now because those 2 fortrans ruined the frequency. IMO they should have fixed the 2 CGE signals up and remount them
