The last remaining incandescent CGE signal head in the entire city! Unlike it's partners at this intersection this CGE is still fully incandescent. They replaced the original aluminium backboard with a poly one though.
The GTA seems has a small amount of Incandescent traffic lights left. I don't think any citys here replace with Incandescent anymore either. Is there a streetview for this light?
Linked you the Streetview in a PM. Anyway I know of only a handful of incandescent traffic lights left in the GTA and their numbers keep on dropping after each year.
IIRC Toronto which was the last city to install incandescent signals, stopped in 2006 or 2007. Signals from 2007 to 2009 had incandescent amber lights. Signals installed after 2010 were fully LED.
Ahh, looks like it's gonna be replaced soon then. I'm honestly it remained incandescent years after all the other signals in the intersection got converted to LED.
Toronto seems to be going through the intersections and replacing all the CGEs, we lost more than a dozen CGEs in North York and Scarborough this summer.
Yeah I've seen it in Downtown, Etobicoke, Yorkdale and around the junction. Its hard to find CGE's now besides the pedestrian signals.
We lost 90% of our CGE's here between the early 2000's and last year. Because of the new lens they installed at almost all the intersections its giving them more time in service. I'd say here the road with the most CGE's here would be Kennedy road. Dixie used have a lot more but construction killed off 2 intersections of CGE and 1 Eagle mark IV intersection in 2004-2005, and lots of spot replacements around 2007 and 2008. Theres 1 CGE left by my college, surprising because its on the left side where you'd always see 8-8-8's.
This pair of CGEs is still in use but it looks like it's only time before they get Fortran'd. Also odd is the CGE on the left too since like you said normally a 8-8-8 would be used instead. Steeles in North York also has some CGEs left.
In Markham, around 95% of the CGEs got scrapped during the mid 2000s. The last 4% got scrapped in 2011 so now there's only a few beacons left. Those beacons got new LEDs last summer so I guess they're gonna keep them. The beacons themselves were installed in the late 90s so they're probably the last CGEs ever made.
Richmond Hill still has one intersection with Mark IVs and Vaughan still has a few CGEs, Mark IVs and LFEs left.

Yeah I saw! They reconnected it around a month ago. They replaced the model 25 with an AE 125. It seemed to have fallen off last month. lol
Its nice to see that they actually reconnected it and replaced the incandescent again.
I guess they know about us being upset about having no more incandescent
Here, any remaining incandescent signals are kept until the lamps die and then LED modules are stuck in as the incandescents fail. Maybe that's what they're going to do here?
I'm not actually sure lol, over here the city went by in 2009-2010 and retrofitted all the remaining incandescent signals to LED reds and greens and started replacing the ambers to LED a couple of years ago.
