Nice! Glad to see the Dixie 8-8-8s still in service. It would be cool it they fitted the EOI LEDs in them (the ones that York Region uses now) as they look a lot more like the original incandescent bulbs.

Update: bad news that 3 of the 4 Missisauga CGE 8-8-8's are under severe possibility of coming down. The one on the right side is safe though. They have strung temporary signals at the intersections and working their way up. They covered them up for now so they will probably come down when they finish the construction. Hopefully they are kept up in service

Aww man, thanks for the update. That's probably like half of the remaining 8-8-8s in the GTA.

Speaking of 8-8-8s, there's one on Kiijii.

the 8-8-8 signal sold quick! Looks like Mississauga found an LED equivalent for 400W HPS sections. They're using the same LED fixture as they do for 250W HPS sections. As seen on Dixie south of Eglinton.

The only HPS between Eglington and just north of Dundas are only poles with cobras and traffic signals. Did you see at Burnhamthrope and Dixie they moved the signals onto the old steel aluminum poles? Good to see even an old R7 used at this intersection still. They took down all the signals at bloor except for a few fortrans, and the old Eagle mark IV 12-8-8-12 is still at the intersection!

Seems The 8-8-8 is still for sale. I guess they just took the other ad down for some reason.

Speaking of 8-8-8s, Alliston has a bunch of them still in use. Most are still incandescent too. They even have the less common Fortran and Eagle 8-8-8s

There was actually an brand new AE 115 beside the sobeys that got replaced by a OV-15 a few years ago! There are some durauglys there too on round poles

Yeah, with the construction in the area I think their days were numbered. I believe the one still left is the one in the top right picture, in front of the Value Village.

It's actually the intersection on the north side, still has its 8-8-8, except its in the middle of a construction project. Both of the CGEs in this photo are gone and now have fortran 12-8-8's
