Lane Control Signal
Here's a lane control signal that's used to control to flow of traffic on a reversible lane. The signal is showing a green arrow right now which means that traffic in the direction of the pic can use the lane. The display changes to a red X if traffic can't use the lane.

These were removed along with the reversible lane shortly after this pic was taken (around mid July) to add bike lanes to this roads but the city recently voted to scrap the bike lanes and add the reversible lane back in.

Hmm. Seems like a waste, seeing how the pictured signals looks pretty recent from the time of the pic. Confused

Hehehe the city put the reversible lane back in last fall (after another vote Rolling Eyes) and I think reused most of the old signals and hardware.

ahh that's good to here. In temporary signal installations used signals are reused if they're relatively new. NGrid won't do that with street lights though to my knowledge.

Here in Israel, the lane control signals aren't suspended.
