alright....I have actually never seen (in modern times) that Pedestrian Signal had the round lens.....around here we have them in square...

cool to see a 9 Inch Pedestrian signal with LED's like this...traditionally these 9" PED's were Worded with Walk and Don't walk.

Thanks, over here we have a lot of 9" pedestrian signals with the round lens like this one, some of the newer ones are square but they are still in a 9" housing. I haven't seen any worded ones or the big square ones here before.

in my area pretty much all new Ped's are the 16x16" Squares with Symbols, the MUTCD allows our older 9" Worded ones to stay as long as they continue to work..but if they go out or absolutely need to be replaced, new ones meeting the MUTCD Standards must be put in.

Cool, I'll have to check the OTM (Ontario MUTCD) here and see what the standards are here for traffic signals but I think that the older worded ones are no longer allowed here. There are some references to them in older drivers manuals from the '90s though.

This is a 12 inch pedestrian signal..

Yeah, here there will either be a 12 inch square or round lens module, I like the look of the round ones better.

The GE ones have a square lens but with a rounded centre when the symbol is, odd.
