ESSCO Signal
|
These signals were produced in the 1920s and were a signature for downtown Chicago. Original ESSCO's are extremely rare, and most were designed with back to back indications. (signal in the front, signal in the back, but no signals on the sides)Alot of artistic design when into the making of the ESSCO, as evident by the top of the signal.
ESSCO was directly related to Harrington Seaburgh, and was an acronym for "Eagle Signal and Sign Company" in the 1930s it was shortened to simply "Eagle Signal" which lasted until 1997.
