Yeah 135w is but too much but you get a cool fade out effect if you use them. Very Happy
streetlight98   [Oct 20, 2011 at 02:54 AM]
I can get a nice fade out if i use my LEDs in 'em too. The light is aimed fowards though so the reflectors would be useless though......

And Ian; sorry, I'm kepping the M-400. If I ever coem across another, I'll let you know though. Smile

The 3M PV signals had the best fade out IMO.

NICE! Very Happy

Thanks! I plan to repaint this black but Who knows when I'll have the time. Laughing i want to finish my M-250A first.

The paint on yours in still better than the paint on my GE signal, although mine probably still has its original paint from the late 50s - early 60s. Razz

Did you manage to find a source for visors? I know they show up on eBay from time to time.
streetlight98   [Nov 02, 2012 at 03:01 AM]
Nope. Sad If anyone here has a spare set of visors please let me know! Preferably cut-away but at this point tunnel are fine too.

I'm actually thinking of keeping the color original with this now... The paint is in pretty good condition which is why it's not really a priority for me to repaint it i guess. The paint is chipping and is rough in certain spots though.

I plastic ok with you?
streetlight98   [Nov 03, 2012 at 03:46 AM]
plastic visors? i thought all visors for aluminum signals were also aluminum? Neutral
joe_347V   [Nov 03, 2012 at 08:22 AM]
Well, I think they are supposed to be aluminium but I guess a set of plastic ones would work in a pinch too.
traffic light1   [Nov 03, 2012 at 02:05 PM]
Sorry, I was just seening if you would like them.
streetlight98   [Nov 03, 2012 at 03:51 PM]
Ahh. I think I'm going to try and find metal ones, though thank you for the offer! I'm not sure if the plastic ones should be painted anyways... It's harder for me to find the cut a-way visors since the tunnel visors have been used here for at least the past 20 years.

Contact Peek and place an order
streetlight98   [Nov 03, 2012 at 04:20 PM]
that was the first thing i did: they never responded. I e-mailed them, no response. I called them and they never got back to me. Confused
basilicon89   [Nov 03, 2012 at 04:24 PM]
That's surprising. I contacted Peek years back when I couldn't get my video machine out of failsafe mode. They walked me right through it.

Try my buddy Phil...he owns Twin Green. He will have visors.
streetlight98   [Nov 03, 2012 at 04:48 PM]
I emailed twin green! thanks! Cool
traffic light1   [Nov 03, 2012 at 05:16 PM]
Wow see that 3M standing up that is the one at my dads home! Very Happy
joe_347V   [Nov 04, 2012 at 12:18 AM]
Nice! This would look a lot better with visors fitted, I'm guessing you're getting the cutaway ones?

They're my favourite type of traffic light visors too.
streetlight98   [Nov 04, 2012 at 01:01 AM]
Yeah i contacted twin green about cut away ones. I said as long as they're dent free I'll take them, since I'll be repainting the visors with the signal anyways. I'll probably go a slightly lighter forest green though since this seems kinda darker than it should be. I'll eventually get some glass lenses and maybe arrow lenses too for this but at $10 per lens, i can't afford that in addition to whatever the visors may cost.
joe_347V   [Nov 04, 2012 at 03:36 AM]
Ahh I see, the visors on both my pedestrian signal and my 8-8-8 were quite dented when I got them. I straightened them up with a set of pliers and a hammer but you can still see dents in them (especially the ped signal).

Anyways, $10 for a glass lens sounds right, the ones with a logo on them cost more. If you do decide to get them make sure to get the lenses with seals on them.
