Intelight Electronic Steerable Beam Traffic Signals These signals are what will replace the design pioneered by 3M and stolen by McCain. The Intelight is uses a programmable LED array instead of a lens assembly and masking process. These appear to "go blank" just like a 3M with half the space and 3/4 the energy consumption. Theres alot more technology packed into these signals. The Intelight was built upon the Optisoft platform. Optisoft went defunct in the early 2000's. Interesting, I looked at the manufacturer's site and there's some pretty high tech stuff inside.
Looking at your pic, I believe they're located at this intersection.

no its from google streetview. I was sent the intersection a while ago from another traffic signal collector. So I kept the screen shot of it.

I went by the freeway that goes under this intersection a few times, so I knew where it was just from seeing the pic (and plus the setup looks Ontario), since this is such a unique setup here.

Here's a pic from a few years back showing the old 3Ms as well as a closeup of a 3M I found on the internet.

I wonder if any Optisoft peds are still working in LA? I'dlike to see one in operation.

All Optisoft peds were pulled from service. The company tanked and closed up.
