A crossing button in a pedestrian crossing in Kiryat Ata
It have a low brightness red LED that turned on when pressing this button and also an audible signaling for blind people that is slow when the light is red and fast when the light is green.
This crossing button probably response instantly, but i'm not sure.
Thats the Navigator made by Polara. Those have a ton of features including the locator tone (constant pinging), voice commands and voice-on location, if you hold the button down 3 seconds. The button head vibrates during the Walk cycle as well. These buttons need an external control board to operate. The control board mounts normally in the signal and then wired into the cabinet. Most other crosswalk buttons just wire directly into the cabinet's pedestrian detector inputs. I almost bought one from the factory. But passed when I was quoted $399 for one button and the control board.

However, based on the type of LED used for visual signaling (Single low brightness red LED, instead of an illuminated arrow with many high brightness amber LEDs), that is more typical to the US, you are probably right.
The voice commands and voice-on location in the passing buttons of Menora group, Menorah Acoustic Tactile Unit, operates as soon as the button is pressed, without the need to holding the button down and vibrates in the same speed as the acoustic signals (Slow during red light and fast during green light).
