Interesting, the endplates extend to cover up the sockets like on the ACME and older Lithonia fixtures. Makes this look sorta like a turret industrial from this angle lol.

Yeah I was almost disappointed to find out that it's not a turret lol. The starters are located above the lamps on the other end (both starters on the same end of the fixture). I think the main reason for the endplates being so huge is to cover up the "V" portion of the "M-reflector". There's a huge wad of tape (i think cloth & tar tape) wrapped around the cord where it exits the fixture. I'm guessing the cord was replaced or added. The plug on the curd is very ancient looking. I think I uploaded a pic showing it. EDIT: yep, here it is! the fixture plugs into the keyless socket via an adapter.
