Lithonia F40 strip fixture with GE F40/BLBs

This was the first four-foot fluorescent fixture I purchased, at Home Depot in 1995, along with a pair of GE F40 BLB's at Spencers for $20 each. It's been in my bedroom ever since, at the top of my bookcase, and I have never had to change the lamps. The ballast was changed out in 2013 to an Advance electronic one so that the fixture will be absolutely silent when on. It starts up almost the same as it did with a magnetic ballast though.
