The World's Ugliest Retrofit Kits!
I happen to abhor these things. Particularly when lit with LED retrofit tubes, the liquor store attached to this Alaska Commercial Co. supermarket in Craig, Alaska has just that going on, at least the main store has 32w 4100K Sylvania Octron lamps. These fixtures appear to be Lithonia and the retrofit kits appear to be Metalux. The fixtures at the end of the rows are still 2- lamp though and seem to be more or less unbutchered sans being converted to T8.

Ten years ago, this place had...you guessed it, slimlines! I remember they were lamped with 3000K or 3500K Philips Altos, back when it was still an independent store; before it was bought out by a chain. This chain has sloppy lighting in all their stores, in another one of their stores there at least used to be a mix of 6500K and 3000K in the main part, and where it had expanded into the adjoining space in the strip mall it's in there were F32T8s shimmering away on T-12 ballasts! The other smaller businesses in the strip mall still had mostly F96T12 slimlines with GE SP65 75 watt lamps, a common sight in businesses and commercial buildings in this area, not sure why the daylight lamps but they're everywhere here.

Yeah, in terms of retrofit kits, I much prefer seeing the ones that convert to 4 lamps instead of these things. Of course I still like going to 8' T8s better than any of these conversion kits. Over here it seems people either convert to tandem 4' T8s or 8' T8s instead of using these odd staggered retrofits.

Or just keep the proper 75 watt slimlines!

You've never seen the staggered retrofit kits like these? Ugly isn't a good enough adjective to describe them!
