Nice old ballast from 02/62 found in a small F20T12 fixture, which I also have. I removed the original ballast and lampholders as I planned to install the fixture with a modern trigger start ballast, but I now consider kepping the fixture, so I could put it back in the fixture.
It's interesting how 22W circlines had the "F8T9" ordering code. The C designation probably came out later.
To my knowledge, bronze labeled ballast are generally of the lower end type, silver labeled ones were higher quality, and the gold labeled ones are the successor of their silver labeled counterparts.
But I still have yet to learn more about those... They fascinate me by the actual purpose of creating three different labelings in Canada but not in US! Down there you had one brand, i.e. Bonusline, which was equivalent to our three in Canada.
I can't wait for my local recycle centre to open (May 1st), I'll probably find more of those 60s to 80s Bronze, Silver or Gold Label ballasts!
I just went to lowe's and bought a Cooper Metalux F40T12 1 lamp strip light. The fixture was made by Cooper and when I opened it, ironically there was a GE Electronic ballast inside. Strange huh? The lamp I got to go with it was an aquairium lamp. What I didn't realize is that the aquarium lamp lights pink. Now i have to go back to Lowe's, return the lamp, and find another lamp I can use.

Also interesting is that yours list FC8T9s as F8T9s instead while my CGE F40 ballast from '68 already has the current ordering code for circlines.
