An israelis pedestrian crossing sign with a fluorescent lamp and a HPS downlighter
|
This sign is at a pedestrian crossing in the main street near the street were my mother home located. Its lights are controlled by the other street lights in this area so this sign is lit 1-2 minutes before, and its HPS lamp in the downlighter isn't warmed up completely. This HPS lamp is old so it has less sodium and more mercury release from the sodium amalgam, incrasing its pressure and cause this running-up HPS to became like a clear MV for ~1 minutes before the sodium start to take over its radiation. This lamp isn't cycled yet, but it color at full output is reddish, pinkish orange of old HPS lamps.
