One of my most recent finds!
This is one of my most recent finds! It's a pretty brand new light just about 3 years old that was apparently never used for some reason. It usually is for sign lights or decorative purposes and has a pulse rated medium socket.

Not sure what brand or who made it but this fixture was inspected in August 2nd 2007. I got this for a pretty good price and the dome in it is glass!

is that a Mercury Vapor Lamp in there?....was this Originally Incandescent and you Remote Ballasted it?....be cool if it were already MV.

I believe the ballast is in there, I see these a lot on signs.

Nope I actually remote ballasted it.:....most of those I believe are actually remote ballasted...you'll be surprised on how many indoor fixtures in commericals are remote ballast.....including the MH recessed lights.....usually they are F-can ballasts!

Ahh I see.

it doesn't look like there's quite enough Room for a Ballast in there....Maybe a Tiny 35 Watt HPS Choke..Possibly.

Not really......because this thing is sorta a 2 piece thing...a reflector and a Vaportight fixture style fixture....so I think this thing is pretty much a vaportight with a reflector added....I mean the nut you see on the top actually attaches to a small threaded rod attached to the "vaportight fixture"
