Thanks! The reflector was rough and pitted with dirt and pollution baked on,the quickest was to spray on some Tremclad professional stainless steel coloured spray paint instead of trying to polish it. The triangular wire with the spring is to hold the tabs in for keeping the refractor firmly in place.
Yes it's a neat and unique fixture, I'm not sure of the manufacture date but I would say it's a later manufactured one for this model from around 1975.
