Wow! Must be painful to look at! 320W PSMH is definitely bright, and it's only the lumen equivalent of a 400W MH! Indoors, even 400W MV is bright. I lit my 400W CMH retrofit lamp on my Westy 400W HPS ballast a few times and man is it bright. I can't begin to imagine a 1000W MH indoors. Shocked Talk a bout a space heater lol. I'm honestly afraid of running MH or PSMH lamps indoors, even open-rated lamps inside enclosed fixtures. I don't know why, it's just a fear etched in the back of my mind. Neutral

When I run my 400 Watters I get that so, somethings hot smell for, sure! Laughing Shocked

Heh, I don't run this thing in my room anymore, it's waaaay too hot. Laughing The most painful lamp to look at was the clear 1kW MH though. Still not sure how the 860w CMH looks like too. I should fire that thing up sometime. Razz 1kW MV is the least painful to look at out of all the 1kW HID lamps.

I bet 1000W HPS is painful to look at too. Also like a mini-sun. The lamp is also shaped like a small baseball bat too. Laughing

I have one, well actually, a whole growlight, but I have yet to try it. It's been sitting under my house for st least 13 years, so I'm a little u mm about trying it and I am a little lazy too.
