Internals of the Westinghouse OV-15 Tudor
This is a 1978 100 watt MV Westinghouse OV-15 Tudor. The ballast is on the upper casing instead of being on the door!

It has the same socket style as Ian's Tudor OV-25

Man I'd like to find one of those. We have some up here still but they are all HPS.
GullWhiz   [Oct 27, 2011 at 04:54 PM]
We have HPS ones too

We have some of these in HPS as well. Why is the ballast mounted on the upper housing if it's a power door fixture? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of a power door?

Split door copy?! Laughing

Awsome fixture !

Nice light! The Powerlite B2255 also had a option to mount the ballast on either the door or housing.

Nice light fixture.

Why put the ballast in the top housing if they already had the OV15? Confused That's odd......

The bolts are different in this one though. Mine has the bolt screw ins on the TOP. Kinda like a GE except it has four bolts.

How exactly is the ballast mounted?
GullWhiz   [Nov 19, 2011 at 02:29 PM]
This one has 4 bolts on the top too.....the ones you see are nuts for the slipfitter....you bolt them from top not the bottom so its the same!
