Color is fairly similar to a modern 3500k lamp (but a fair bit dimmer)

Wow! That's an interesting looking lamp! I have one from 1962 (but a F25T12/CW) and it's got the lifeline style etch on it. I guess they updated this etch after? Seems odd though, since I'd initially assume that the more common lamps (aka F40T12s) would get the new etch first. Could this actually be from 1952? IDK anything about dating Sylvania lamps though so I have no clue. Does this have the lifeline era end caps? (the 60s lifeline caps were rounder, like GE end caps. The 70s and 80s ones were more squared.)

I think this had the rounder-style endcaps (I'd have to go dig for it to see though.)
Someone on LG gave the date, but also said this is a rare etch for that era.
I have no idea how to date lamps that use 'dots' as a datecode.

How is it in the cold compared to a regular F40?

I remember testing it on a fairly cold night (8F/-13C) and while it started out dim, it did brighten nicely after running for a bit.
I had always intended to do a "true test" in below-zero-F weather but forgot about it
