A GE M250-A2!
Here's a GE M250-A2, a pretty rare find here since small GE lumes aren't popular here. For some reason Westy, Cooper, Powerlite, and AEL lumes are a lot more common than GE here.

Here's a close up of the M250-A2:

Looking at the NEMA tag and glass lens (older style) this is mid-late 80's possibly? This has the modified top housing though (front not as pointed)

Hmm how many different variations are there of the M-250A2?

I always thought there was only two. Tony pointed out that there's actually three. The first one has a pointed front and was the orgional "M-150A". That design was renamed the M-250A2 and came in wattages up to 250. A good example of the forst design is seen here. Then, somtimes in the mid-late 80's I guess this version above came out, keeping the same refractor door and powr/door shape. Tis version was available up to 400w HPS, since we have these in 400w under RIDOT when they started to use more 400w HPS versus 250w. Then the familiar current M-250A2 rolled out with a totally rounded off front.

I personally liked the oldest version best. The oldest version is what i see around here in FCO MV. The mid-version is alright. I still like it. I'm not too much of a fan of the current A2 though. Laughing The M-250R2 seems to have a few design changes over the years as well. I guess the most obvious was the 1993 flat door design. The current M-250R2 has exposed bumps for the slipfitter bolts kinda like the 113 did. I like the late 80's version of the M-250R2 best as it didn't have those exposed bumps and was a bit flatter like the 70's M-250R.
