An OV 50!
OV 50s are pretty rare over here since most places I know used the B2213 instead of the other 1000w models. I'm not sure what light source this uses or if it still works at night though.

So what do you guys think, are OV 50s common in your area?
Truckersboy2010   [Apr 30, 2012 at 08:44 PM]
yea my city uses these in alot of old parking lots and ive always wondered what was the thing on top of it used for?

Nice!

Niall you double-commented again. Razz The only places I have ever seen any 1000W cobraheads are in parkinglots. The M-1000 seems to be more common than the OV-50 though. I've only seen one or two older 327 before though.

Again? Where did it happen before? And it's not like I did it one purpose... Confused
streetlight98   [May 01, 2012 at 11:22 PM]
Obviously you didn't do it on purpose becuase the server isn't supposed to allow it. I was jsut letting you know in case you didn't know already. It happened to me once or twice, I just delete one of them and problem's solved.

I deleted the other one. While we are on the topic, does anyone know what that little thing beside my comments is?
streetlight98   [May 01, 2012 at 11:32 PM]
Know what what is?
gailgrove   [May 01, 2012 at 11:36 PM]
That thing, it looks like this.
streetlight98   [May 01, 2012 at 11:42 PM]
I don't see that, i see a red X in a white box like this:

Is your avitar from a picture that you uploaded from the Gallery? If so, that's why. When I had my OV-10 as my avitar i saw a red X as well.
joe_347V   [May 02, 2012 at 06:07 AM]
That red x (or dot) appears if you use the URL option for your avatar, to get rid of it you have use the "I will upload my own picture:" option in the avatar settings.

It seems the most common 1kW fixture here is the B2213, next is M-1000, then early 327, Unistyle 1000, and finally B2228 and OV 50.

The only roads I knew that used 1000w fixtures were the freeways which had B2213s, B2228s and maybe Unistyle 1000s, they're long removed though.
