If you zoom in your camera lens to the very front of the door rim...you will see it says "Westinghouse OV-25" on it.....those had the nice big letters on them like my OV-14B has on it!
If it wasn't for "Westinghouse TYPE OV-25" cast into the front of the door, I would have never found David F.'s site, which from there I found the LG and now GoL. I would have never found out more about lighting. I used to think the NEMA tags were 1/100 of the wattage (5= 500W; 10= 1000W; 40= 4000W)
My parents always said the numbers were tracking numbers for the street lights. I came to the conclusion that the numbers represented the wattage becuase the brighter lights had a higher number. I guess i was right, but the wattage each tag represented was WAY off lol. I knew nothing about current or voltage or really anything about electricity back then though.
some of the PEPCO streetlights NEMA would have 1, 4....I haven't seen 2 or other numbers yet but I have seen 1 on silverliners which I believe means 100 watt and 4 on bigger fixtures including clamshells on the sides that means 400 watt
Duquesne Light used to use reflective yellow on black labels on their older mercury vapor streetlights and a few high pressure sodium Westinghouse streetlights that didn't have labels originally.
I can't imagine a B2255 drawing 40A, would be one hell of a bright fixture
