[Gone] Highmasts Being Replaced
Here's a pic of some highmast lights at the Hwy. 401/403/410 interchange that are being replaced as part of a freeway widening project and interchange reconfiguration on Hwy. 401. The shorter dark coloured highmast poles that has drop refractored fixtures were installed around the mid-late 1980s and are being replaced by the taller light coloured ones with the cut off lenses. One thing that I noticed is they are using both Cooper AND Wide-Lite high mast fixtures, I found that rather interesting!

Yeah I was wondering why they decided to use two different fixtures for the new high masts. I was thinking won't it be cheaper to just use one kind of light?

I guess the Wide-Lites are the other fixtures in the pic...

Yep the Wide-Lites are the shiner fixtures.
