Holophane HMSC Highmasts
Here's a cluster of Holophane HMSC MH highmasts at a local box store plaza, these don't lower like the ones used on the freeways though.

Not sure on the brand...maybe Holophane?

I want to say either GE or Holophane. Probably Holophane.

They are Holophane HMSCs.

Thanks

How high are these? Do you have a street view or scene view of this?

Highmasts are great for parkign lots. They light large areas with fewer fixtures and fewer poles. I wonder why highmasts are as common as pink lettuce in parking lots....

They don't look good, I would guess that's a factor, plus they have to be mounted higher, and unless you use winched ones then you have to find someone willing to service them, and when you do it will cost a lot.

Well, most highmasts have lowering devices which make servicing not even require a bucket truck. Just a key to unlock the lowering controls box at the bottom of the pole. The person who installed these without a lowering device isn't very bright (no pun intended)

I have seen GENUINE highmasts (That lower too) At a mall parking lot in Louisville, Kentucky. All around that mall there were high-masts in the parking lot.

I am not sure but I THINK they lower too.

I know of three malls here with highmast lights but none of those lower, they service them using a cherry picker.

Here the high masts are serviced by crane. They bring in a refurbished pole and put the fixtures on it and wire it on the ground, then use the crane to remove the entire pole before replacing it with the other one. This then gets repainted and relamped before it goes to the next position.
