Pole Tags
Here's a example of a older pole tag in my area, they use FHWA Series C numerals on a metal plate. The manufacturer's plate is below the pole number.

Ours here are always small stainless steel tags with the closest property address on them, the newest ones that are installed now also have the city of Brampton logo on them. They are banded onto the pole the same way.

Here we use extruded Times New Roman metal numbers that are about an inch to 1 1/2 inches.
