CGE F30/40 Ballast
Here's a older CGE F30/40 rapid start ballast, unlike other CGE ballasts this one wasn't made in Canada but instead in Mexico and uses the American two letter date code instead of the numeric Canadian date even though it's a CGE branded ballast.

I came across a 1XF14/15/20 trigger start ballast on the bay a while ago. It looks like CGE transfered single lamp ballasts operations to Mexico sometime in the 80s.

I guess they used the same plant as the later American GE ballasts then?

I like it when fixture manuafacturers' names are on ballasts, I have some MagneTek/Universal Watt-Reducer slimline ballasts with a "Metalux" sticker on them (perfect, they're in Metalux 2XF96T12 striplights I have).

I've never had a ballast stamped with a manufacturer (that I can recall anyway) except for the NOS F15T12 TS strip light Joe gave me, which is Canadian with a Universal Lighting Technologies ballast. My Cooper Metalux turret has an Advance Mark-something but no date marked on there.

Yeah I think Visioneering (who also made the F15T12 strip I gave Mike) is the only company here that stamps the ballasts. My Metalux striplights don't have dates or stickers on the ballast too.

My example should be in my gallery. It's a little sticker on top of the ballast label like those little price stickers.
