The contractor who converted this park light from 400w HPS to 200w induction, didnt mount the ballast to the fixture, jus layed in the metal part (on left), somehow the ballast fell into the light area.
At least the tube wasn't just laying inside the lens lol. My M-400A2s had loose caps and igniters when they were converted to PSMH. I made brackets when I restored them.
I know of a conversion like this done where they didn't even bother to mount the tube, it just sits on the glass lens! We shook the pole and the tube slid around inside....lol
Hmm interesting. I wonder if the person stood them up on their sides and wind vibration rocked the poles the right way to tip them over and then they landed in the middle? Have any of these induction retrofits failed or have you seen a drop in lumens?
