I have those a few of those myself....those does well actually as I have them in my exit signs!

And dude...insert your plug farther....this "loose" plug is one of the causes of sparking problems...if you put a paper clip between the plug and outlet or accidentally drop a metallic board between those......BIG SPARKS!!!!!....it happened to me.....with extension could way way back...also happened to one of my neighbors who got a large soot on the outlet! Shocked Be sure to plug it in fully!!!!

The nite-lite was removed after the pic. And yes I saw sparks many years ago when a gum wrapper fell on the pins.

why would a paper clip be anywhere near a wall outlet?

Well if it fell off your desk into the plug area ....

Exactly Aaron....something like that happened in my neighbors house and she called me to check on it...there was soot around the top of the outlet and plate.....I checked it and confirmed it was safe...and told her to plug tightly......

Similarly, someone told me a story about a necklace falling off a shelf and hitting a plug for a stereo that was half-in, half-out and as she put it. 'The sparks were just awesome!'
