Heh, mine isn't installed but I do keep it plugged in to use it as a emergency light.

This one didn't have emergency lights in it unfortunatly. My parents would kill me for leaving it plugged in all the time lol. I'm thinking of going back to Durfee's True Value hardware to swip up a few of those exit sign lamps. Very Happy

Well, I rewired it so that the sign stays off when it's charging so it only lights up if there's a blackout.

I have a incandescent sign too but it isn't backed up, I notice that the incandescent sign lamps are only slightly brighter than a 7w night light lamp since they're underdriven to last longer. I believe exit sign lamps are rated at 145V ish.

Oh wow! How many watts do they consume? They're candelibra based right? I wonder why this came with 7W nightlight lamps instead of real tubular exit sign lamps...

I believe the ones I had were rated 15w at 145V but the actual wattage is lower since they are under driven.

BTW, the date of this is October 1998. I just got a response from Hubbell. They were very nice about it and responded right away too. Smile

Nice exit sign! Reminds me a lot of my green Prescolite from '93. Cool

Thanks. Very Happy
