Cooper OVZ NYC Edition
|
Here's a custom made for NYC Cooper OVZ. It's labelled as a OVZ but it uses a OVH housing with a OVZ reflector. The red LED next to the NEMA tag is a low voltage indicator device, I have it on my variac and it illuminates at around 100v.
Refractor is plastic and is labelled Crouse Hinds on the rim. Due to that and the electronic ballast, it's surprisingly light for a cobrahead. It's designed for 150w S56 HPS with a Hatch electronic ballast rated for 150w PSMH lamps. Interestingly I think mine has different version of the Hatch ballast as it lists S56 and M102 lamps on the label. I don't have any S56 lamps so I have it running with a Philips 150w CMH lamp. If I find one of those NYC custom photocontrols, it would be a nice match for this luminaire.
