Not bad, but not good but look at all the light they put out behind them, thats a lot of wasted light Rolling Eyes

Well a slying prowler thief could be behind them as you walk waiting to JUMP on you....so it's good to have a bit of extra light at public places for protection....drug dealers LOVE to be in the dark.....

Not bad, looks like the road is pretty well lit.

It looks like the road is lit pretty well, I just wish the design of those fixtures weren't so ugly though.

thing is...in the long run how will these fare in Lumen Maintenence?..and Longevity.
Silverliner14B   [Sep 01, 2010 at 02:59 PM]
I read they were installed for safety reasons. An university student was murdered last year somewhere in this area during some sports game.

As far as lumen maintenance goes, we will see. But let me tell you what I have seen. The LEDs in Los Angeles, I can tell the difference in light output between one just installed and one installed eight months ago. A mercury lamp in use for eight months wouldn't have dimmed that fast, maybe just a little bit of color shift, unless it was of poor quality.

They do have a problem with a high initial failure rate, I have seen this on the ones illuminating my street.
