No wonder the arm sagged down, LOL!

Pulling the arm down! Shocked

Looks like it's been like that before I was even born!

Well that looks great, and of course very safe Rolling Eyes

Very tackey looking. And i'll agree with Niall, not the safest option.

Guess they were saving a few feet of wire?? Rolling Eyes

So when the arm mounting lets go the whole lot will be launched across the street.

That's what i was thinking. Maybe somone here can lay a matress down accross the street. Laughing The weight if the light and arm could break the power line though. i've seen the littlest things snap those.

SCE replaced the fixture, as it was over 15 years old. BTW the arm is sagging even more.

Stupid policy. Rolling Eyes Probably the dumbest policy I've ever heard of... If they insist on leaving the wiring this way they should install a truss arm or tapered elliptical. Those won't sag. I don't see how the utility company would allow this.

NGrid would have done this here. Splice the wiring and run a feed across the street to the pole.

The pole got replaced, now has a crossarm and short drop down to the light. I still has a droop.

Ah no more goofy set-up with the triplex attached to the mounting arm? Laughing
