500 Block Main St. Downtown Buffalo
These two and three lamp series Incandescent posttops lined Main St. from Goodell to the foot of Main St. near S. Park Ave. This pic was taken in 1954 shortly before these poles were replaced with the massive Union Metal S-Arm poles and Westinghouse HMA-60 luminaires with 1000-watt MV lamps.

Very cool!
1000 W MV lamps for such a street? That's overkill!

Main St. in Downtown Buffalo was considered a whiteway so 1000 watt MVs on 30 foot poles were not a stretch.
