Rebuilt and reused
My buddy down in Ohio was allowed the opportunity to restore two antique signals for a city. Both signals were taken down separately and restored, brought up to code and LED'ed. The signal on the left is a Sargent Sowell and the right is a Crouse Hinds Type DT. The project was kept under wraps until the Ohio Traffic Signal Collector Meet two weeks ago

Two years ago I visited this intersection and this is what they looked like

Shocked Very nice job! I've yet to completely restore a signal but all of my older signals have been completely rewired before I put them into use.

Since I guess keeping the old incandescents weren't a practical option, I would have used these LED modules which look more incandescent instead of the GE RX-11s though.

The modules were from my buddy Phil out in New York. If you've heard of Twin Green Traffic Signals online...he owns the company. NYSDOT stocks GE stuff. I would've liked at least all tinted color LEDs...but it beats a cluster of McCains
