Philips WESTINGHOUSE LAMPS F40T12
|
This caught my eye. I'm sorry for the crappy quality. there were a bunch of these rapid start strips that weren't powered up. I assume maybe they're used for nighttime lighting? Some were missing a lamp and others had clearly EOL lamps but some like this one has like-new lamps that were clearly old. This was at a huge indoor flea market and no, no interesting lights for sale. :-(

These are nice lamps, try to get them if you can! I had the next (totally Philips) generation in that house in Atascadero and wish I'd taken them when I moved out as of now. I even went to ReStore that same trip, I should've looked for some PVC pipe to ship them in!
I believe this tube was made at the Lynn, Massachusetts Norelco factory, like mine were. Also, like mine were, there's no letter/number code, so sadly I can't date this for you.
This is really a "Philips-NOT-Westinghouse" lamp as I'm pretty darn sure that Lynn plant was never actually owned by Westinghouse. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, though.
