This is only tall beast! Looks like an HO or even a T17 ballast could fit in that channel! The reflector is interesting too: it makes an "M" shape, so the two lamps are separated from each other. Really cool looking fixture!

Yeah seems pretty solid. I've only looked at it though lol. Haven't taken it apart. It's still installed there. Who knows when I'll ever be back there but eventually I'll get this light.

Nice light! I wouldn't try a HO conversion since it's preheat but if it was rapid start it'd be neat to convert it to HO/VHO or even PG. I guess if might have used one of those brick tulamp ballasts. I have a fixture with one and they're the same size as a modern HO ballast.
