Interesting, a date code of 2.
Found a pack of 100w GEs with a date code of 2 what interesting about this is that I was told by Dave that the 2 corresponds to 2012 which means they were made after the US 100w ban. Now I'm not sure if they are still made because they're still allowed in Canada of if the US regulations still allow 100w clears. Hopefully someone here will have more info on this.

Shown next to it is the same lamp but one I bought in late 2011.

The factory that now makes GE incandescents is located in Mexico, which is not affected by the US ban. Chances are they still import 100Ws in Canada.

Mexico is banning incandescents as of 2012-2014, unfortunately. I see the 2012 bulb does not list lumens on the etch, which is now a requirement for 2012 in the USA.

Hmm I wonder what happens after Mexico bans incandescents since Canada is only starting to ban them beginning in 2014.

Bulbs will come from China... meh. XD

Well they're not banning those weird 38, 57, 71, and 95 watt lamps, are they? If not we can still buy those....

I've actually never seen those oddball wattages up here, the 40, 60, and 100 watters are still common. 75w lamps aren't that common here for some reason.
