Old Hospital
Here is a shot I took of the old hospital which is currently being demolished, the light to the right of the dumpster is an old Holophane post top, the predecessor to the Crestwood series. I hope to save at least one of these plus one of the 400 watt HPS Crestwood, a 113 and at least one R37 plus a 4 and or 8 foot tapered E arm and possibly a 125 and OVZ. I doubt I can get all of those but that's what I'm aiming for. Oh, did I mention these post tops are still mercs! And they still are lit at night, maybe I should try for a night shot!

There's one of these post tops at my school. It doesn't work though. the school is from 1970 to give an idea on the fixture's age. There were a bunch more judging by the bunch of cut-short poles that look like the one holding the post top. There are 400W MH floods off the side of the building that replaced them. I'll bet the post top is a merc here too, but the lens is browned out and there's one hell of a bird nest inside it, so the lamp isn't visable. At my soon-to-be high school, which is right next door to my middle school, there are 3 or 4 GE M-400 split door or M-400A, I can't tell from that far away. They have very deep browned out polycarbonate refractors. Somethig tells be they're HPS, but I don't know since I've never looked at the NEMA tags if they have them and they don't light at night.

Interesting, the most interesting lights at any school I've been to is a B2255 at my elementary school, my middle school had some HPS floods that were pretty new and my high school has some Hubbell HPS floods on older concrete pole, I'm sure those fixture aren't the originals to the poles either. My high school also has 6 1kW F-Series floods that light up the tennis court, which are never used.

My high school has a 250w HPS B2255 over the front entrance, and a couple of MV Sylvania bracket lumes on the pool building. It also had some HPS floods and wallpacks too. I believe the HPS floods replaced some old MV Powerlite shoeboxes.

Figured I'd update this, the entire site is now an empty field. I was promised a light but never got one, I never have had any luck with demolition contractors.

UPDATE: Its kind of off topic but, a few weeks ago the construction of the new hospital in this location went up in smoke. About 2 levels of concrete and bar were engulfed in the fire.. Back to scratch with the new hospital!
