an Update on the previously posted picture,i did some fitting today to see if the chokes would fit into the wall mount,and they did...further details in the picture itself,i apologize now if there's any illegibility in the Font,i had to shrink this down quite abit to get it to a size that would go on GOL.

ended up converting a new fixture instead...the paintjob didn't come out as smoothly as i had hoped...i have some of the pictures on LG,i'll post them here.

Ahh. If you didn't use primer, that's why it wasn't smooth. I painted my barn light over this summer on a day it was 90*F or more and the humidity was high. The paint dried with little bubbles and was a little rougher than I wanted, as I used hammered silver. I didn't use primer though.....

yeah i didn't use primer...and cool painting a barn blaster. Smile

Nope. An incandescent barn light. like you'd see on a 50's barn. This was made in 2001 though..... it was galvanized, but the outside was startign to rust. So i figured "what the heck" and got the spray can out. Laughing

I have done some PL conversions. You can fit a PL9 and the ballast into a unit that just fits a single 60W lamp, though you have to do a bit of metalwork to get the ballast and the socket to fit.

really this setup would be more comfortable in a larger fixture as even though it fits its still crammed in there quite good.
