I won't deny I guessed wrong. And Kudos to you for leaving it alone. I often like leaving original tags and parts alone! Trying to fix em up a bit!
Antstar85   [Aug 04, 2011 at 12:31 AM]
yep its hard to come by new tags
streetlight98   [Aug 04, 2011 at 12:32 AM]
do you still have the origional drop lens? If so could you take a pic of the light with the drop lens in it?
Antstar85   [Aug 04, 2011 at 12:34 AM]
i actually do and have a shot with it. ill upload it now
streetlight98   [Aug 04, 2011 at 12:37 AM]
Ok, thanks.
Antstar85   [Aug 04, 2011 at 12:53 AM]
I'm surprised no one noticed the object in the background. Wink

Very cool light! I'm thinking about getting a FCO cobrahead for my backyard.
Antstar85   [Aug 04, 2011 at 12:55 AM]
They are cool but I still like the drop lens the most
streetlight98   [Aug 04, 2011 at 12:55 AM]
I see you also have an OVZ. Smile I noticed the pole, but thought it was a tree. Embarrassed Laughing I perfer drop lens too.
Antstar85   [Aug 04, 2011 at 12:56 AM]
Actually it's an OVG! The only problem is that I don't have the right Lens for it so I have a GE Glass lens in it right now.
streetlight98   [Aug 04, 2011 at 01:00 AM]
The glass Cooper lens looks the best in the OVG. Trust me.
Antstar85   [Aug 04, 2011 at 02:27 AM]
I'll take your word. I just have to find one now! That OVG came with a blown 70 watt hps ballast so I gut it out and installed a 100 watt MV ballast I had kicking around. I actually leave both the lights on all night and great thing is my next-door neighbor loves it cause it lights his yard up to! Wink

What's the date/ date code of this Tony?
Antstar85   [Jul 17, 2012 at 05:57 PM]
I have no idea, the label was gone when I got it.
GullWhiz   [Jul 17, 2012 at 06:23 PM]
From the door design, lacking drip holes but has groove for NEMA tag, it has to be between 1977-1980
Silverliner14B   [Jul 17, 2012 at 08:33 PM]
Does it have a capacitor? If so you may be able to find the date of the cap itself.
Antstar85   [Jul 17, 2012 at 08:38 PM]
I do not have the original capacitor to this fixture, I replaced the ballast and cap when I got this fixture, never thought to of looked at the cap. Embarrassed
streetlight98   [Jul 17, 2012 at 09:29 PM]
Hmm. The old ballast may have still been good (unless you tested it before the coils dried off).
Antstar85   [Jul 20, 2012 at 05:27 PM]
Was also a 277 volt ballast.
streetlight98   [Jul 23, 2012 at 05:48 PM]
Ahh. Now i know why you replaced it. Laughing
