ITT Model 25 FCO lit.
Here it is lit, nice and bright! Everything in here is the original, except the lamp.

For a light that has been in service since the early-mid 1980's this light is in good shape!

I am glad I saved this light from being scrapped.

My B2255 was from 1980 and it's still in great shape, not bad for almost 30 years of streetlighting service and to think it would have been scrapped. Rolling Eyes

Pretty much most utilities and contractors scrap the lights or put them somewhere but never to re-use, because all places tend to like to use brand new fixtures instread of refurbished old ones.

But, If I didn't grab this model 25 it probably would of ended up in that pile of streetlights I saw at WL contractors (the pile that had the Tudor in it), since they were working on this project. I dunno what they do with old lights, but I don't think it's put them back up. xD

My Westinghouse OV-15 from 1970 was in service for 30 years in Duquesne Light's area and still works.

Joseph I was told by a Guild Electric employee that they do save the fixtures at their headquarters for temporary lighting and other stuff like that, I have also seen them put up a used R47 after a pole knockdown. Very Happy

They probably do something similar at WL contractors which is why they don't give any fixtures away. They probably would re-use some of them for work zone areas for temporary lights. Dunno.

I think in the city of Littleton, they did a whole traffic signal changeout from the old ones to new ones with those double davits. I don't think those were the original traffic signal poles. But it seems they reused all the old fixtures though, cause they had Model 25's on them and more.
