GE M-400 A1 FCO side view. Here is the side view of my second M-400 A1 FCO. I think the power door is newer as the door hasn't lost as much paint as the fixture. Looks like Denver back then knew how to USE power doors. xD I THINK the fixture is from 1981. But I KNOW the power door is from 1987. Maybe the power door was an M-400 A2 early power door. As my other M-400 A1 has "TIGHTEN SCREW" At the screw hole while this one does not. And this power door screw CLICKS and keeps turning when tightened instead of just, completly tightening. ON the housing there is a big "GT" in big letters on the housing, would that be the date code?

What is the date? I know by the capacitor it is 1981...

And I looked up on the link that Michael gave, this turns out to be July 1981.

I think July 1981 according to the pdf i found. Joe Maurath will have to confirm that pdf to be correct when he replies to my email though.....

Well, this fixture is busted now. I had it drying in the driveway to paint, and my mother drove over it and BOOM, busted fixture. The top housing is fine but the power door (housing) And Refractor door are busted. So looks like I just have one of these now and there goes me trading one of them, so Meh.

Thats why I hang mine in the basement to dry.

Well I didn't even start painting it yet. It was drying after cleaning it and I was just stupid enough to leave it there. My mom saw that it was there before but she forgot, and she was leaving and she drove over it, and now I am short a fixture.

I WAS going to trade one of these M-400 A1 FCO's for Darren's M-400 A3, but looks like that won't happen since the M-400 A1 broke.

Yeah there is like one more there but I dunno if I want to take it, I already took many lights from there.

If nothing happens with them in the next few weeks, It's free game as far as I'm concerned.

I went by there yesterday (It was dark out though) And I saw that they were piled differently. I couldn't see if there were any new lights yet. But I will be checking back there every once in a while.

Yikes. Shocked I paint my lights in the back yard in the lawn for that reason. (And I don't want people i go to school with knowing that I have a "strange" hobby.)
