Michael, if you become a lineman, you will HAVE to pull that when it comes...but actually..A LOT of streetlights I get have messy stuff INSIDE! Dead bugs, feathers, even turds inside!
I think Joe roughed it up before he took a pic.....he's a suspect for gull ASSAULT!
By the way the photocell on top looks pretty new...I guess this merc was pretty recently serviced!
Anyways, the two streetlights I got were pretty nasty inside so I guess I don't mind pulling that off. But I'll have to give it a nice pressure washing if it's going to live inside.
That's why i don't think im going to be a lineman. The lights i get are usually very clean exept for spider webs. I'm sort of a germ freak, so droplings aren't really my thing. I don't mind dead insects and spiderwebs though.
One of my friends GE M-250R1 had two dead squirrels in it after the fixture caught fire and burned the wires! Amazingly the ballast and all the electrical components survived! Poor squirrels didn't though! The fixture was removed from service and my friend fixed the fixture and now is in his collection!
Yeah, the dead bird was a surprise! Many of my fixtures have had nests in them, both bird and wasps, the worst was the live wasp nest I got in my first OV-15!
